What We Did
B2B Newsletter, Visual Identity, Email
Overview
YouTube's B2B newsletter needed a 2026 refresh: sharper layouts, bolder graphics, content built to actually get shared, not just opened and scrolled past.
My Role
I answered the brief with real editorial flair, treating it as a chance to make the newsletter feel more magazine than memo. Working within the template art direction, I designed all four issues, evolving the layout with each release and treating every data point and creator story as its own bespoke, magazine-style component rather than dropping it into a standard layout. I then adapted the same framework into a set of LinkedIn header graphics, keeping the look consistent from inbox to feed.
The Team
Design - Tom Larcombe, Art Direction - David Boa, Rosie Maddison, Creative Direction - Mark Farinha, Account Management - Emily Stronnell

When handed dense copy and heavy data, the easy route is a standard layout. The fun route? Deconstructing YouTube’s brand assets into a magazine-style experience. By treating every data point and creator story as a bespoke component, I turned standard updates into a dynamic scroll readers actually want to lean into.

To support the launch of each newsletter issue on LinkedIn, I adapted the visual framework into widescreen header graphics. By carrying over the same bold colors, editorial type, and creator imagery, the design stayed perfectly consistent from feed to inbox.
