‘Little Lifts’ was inspired by the growing appreciation for outdoor spaces as places to recharge and reconnect with nature. We pitched a concept built around small, seasonal changes that brighten everyday life. The result: a Cuprinol-inspired set of visuals with simple tips and mood-lifting colour palettes — produced in 10- and 20-second edits across 1:1, 9:16, and 16:9 formats to suit a range of platforms.

The result: a Cuprinol-inspired set of visuals with simple tips and mood-lifting colour palettes — produced in 10- and 20-second edits across 1:1, 9:16, and 16:9 formats to suit a range of platforms.

Starting point

The core of the ‘Little Lifts’ campaign was the introduction of Cuprinol’s four new signature colors for 2023. This four-frame sequence captures the seasonal transition, using mood-lifting palettes designed to inspire quick, impactful garden refreshes. The visual strategy was simple: focus on the "before and after" energy of a single coat of paint, showing how small changes can fundamentally recharge an outdoor space.

Problem solving

The Challenge: The campaign required a diverse asset suite that maintained visual impact across 1:1, 9:16, and 16:9 formats. Additionally, we had to develop a bespoke set of brand videos for "Mobkoi"—a high-end mobile advertising format—which required a integrated, non-intrusive CTA baked directly into the video file.

The Solution: I designed a modular GFX system where the core tips and color swatches lived in a "universal safe zone." This allowed the content to be re-framed effortlessly for social feeds while leaving dedicated space for the Mobkoi CTA overlays. By treating the text and brand elements as floating layers, I ensured the product remained the hero regardless of the screen's orientation.

Implimentation

To bring the campaign to life, I focused on the mobile-first nature of the DIY audience. The implementation involved crafting high-retention 10- and 20-second edits that functioned as "quick-fire" inspiration. Using a social-media mockup, we can see how the vibrant Cuprinol palette and the Mobkoi CTA were optimized for the "thumb-stop" moment—delivering simple, actionable advice in a format that feels native to a user’s daily scroll.

Results

Platform Optimization: Successfully deployed a 100% social-ready asset kit, ensuring 1:1 brand consistency from vertical Stories to square feed posts.

Bespoke Ad Integration: Engineered a custom video-CTA solution for the Mobkoi placements that met strict technical specs while feeling seamless within the "Little Lifts" narrative.

Chromatic Fidelity: Maintained perfect color accuracy across all digital touchpoints, ensuring the 2023 shades were represented exactly as they appear in the tin for a color-sensitive social audience
